We are an accredited Christian Montessori school offering a loving and individualized hands-on approach to learning.  Children acquire a love of learning by working at their own pace in a nurturing learning environment. Our program provides for spiritual, intellectual, social and physical development based on each child's individual strengths.

Our teachers give instruction on an individual or small-group basis.  Children are taught to respect the classroom environment and materials, and to respect themselves, others, and our earth.

We were etablished in Fall of 2001 and we currently have two mixed age classrooms of children ages 3 through 6 years old... preschool and kindergarten.  Each class has a teacher and an assistant and a maximum of 20 children.

Mission:

Our mission is to nurture and respect the unique gifts and character of the whole child and to inspire academic success, spiritual growth and compassionate responsible citizenship rooted in a respect for self, others and our earth.

Days & Hours of Operation:

8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m Monday through Friday

St. Luke's School will closely follow the Prescott Public Schools calendar, closing for some of the same holidays and vacations. When Prescott Public Schools are canceled or delayed due to inclement weather, St. Luke's will do the same. Please listen to the local radio stations for information.

Age Requirments:

Children enrolling must be between the ages of three and six years, and must be toilet trained. To enroll in kindergarten, a child must be five years old by September 1st.

Curriculum:

Godly Play:  This Christian curriculum is a hands-on approach to the stories of the Bible.

Practical Life Activities: These include activities of daily living such as preparing food, pouring, polishing, and caring for plants.

Sensorial: Each sensorial material isolates one characteristic such as size, color, width, length, sound, or texture.
